In December 2025, BC4EU published a new report looking at the GDPR and how this impacts blockchains, prepared by BC4EU members in collaboration with a member of our Advisory Council, Jörn Erbguth from the University of Geneva. The report builds on the work done previously to respond to the EDPB Consultation on its Draft Guidelines 02/2025 and aims at providing a clear framework for an application of GDPR rules which does not contrast with the technical characteristics of public blockchains.
